Crescent Lake Botanicals, LLC is a woman-owned, family run business. It began in 2002 in an effort to create natural soap that wouldn't dry and irritate sensitive skin the way store bought products did. After two years of research and experimentation we achieved our goal to create the finest handmade silk soaps possible and brought our soaps to market.
Here in our Soap Studio, nestled in the beautiful woods of northwestern Wisconsin, we carefully create our soaps using proprietary formulas and fresh Artesian Spring Water. Made with organic and food grade ingredients, our soaps retain the natural glycerin produced in the soap making process, helping to provide moisture for your skin. To satisfy our customer's needs and desires, we use both natural and manmade fragrances and colorants. Our soaps do not contain added chemicals and are environmentally friendly, biodegradable and safe for septic systems. Net weight 4-4.5 ounces; approximate size is 2" wide, 3" tall and 1.25" thick. Each bar is individually labeled and shrink wrapped -- perfect for gift giving!

Refund / Return Policy: If for any reason you are unhappy with our products, please return the product, shipping prepaid, within 15 days of receipt for replacement or refund of the product. Yes, truly "old fashioned" 100% lye soap, great for cleaning things in and around the house. In the near northwest Polish neighborhood of early 1900 Chicago, my Grandma Anna worked at the local laundry to support her family. And just as she did at work, Grandma used lye soap at home for cleaning laundry, dishes, walls, floors--everything and everyone in the house! Now, nearly 100 years later, grandma's soap is still being used to clean everything and everyone. Great for removing dirt, grime, stains, spills and remnants of sibling rivalry; an all-purpose cleaner. You just can't buy a more natural, all-around cleaner than good old-fashioned lye soap!
Although some people use old fashioned lye soap in the bath and shower, we don't recommended it for cleaning people or pets as it can be drying to sensitive skin. Made with lard, Artesian spring water and sodium hydroxide.
